Julia Savtchenko
Hello! I'm Julia Savtchenko, an illustrator and a children's writer living and working in Helsinki. I like to approach illustrations with a touch of fairytales and sense of wonder. I like strong contrasts, shadows and multitude of small things. My working languages are Finnish and English. At the moment I work with several children's books so I'm not able to start new big projects, but I gladly accept smaller assignments!
I am particularly skilled in illustrating nature and fairy tale themes, as well as different kinds of emotions. I've illustrated several children's books that have been said to transport the viewer into another reality. I work fluently with both digital and traditional media.
