JULIA SAVTCHENKO
Occasional Rain
Julia Savtchenko (b. 1987 in Joutseno, Finland) is an illustrator who lives and works in Helsinki. This year, she has studied frightening illustrations in children’s books in her dissertation for her Master of Arts degree from Aalto University. The introduction to Savtchenko’s works is written by poet and curator Maria Savela. The text series by guest writers is
part of Galleria Kuvitus’ efforts to develop its exhibitions and this work has received support from the City of Helsinki in 2019.
