Annika Wrede

​​Hello everyone! I'm Annika Wrede, an illustrator and graphic designer from Helsinki. I went to School of Commercial Graphics (MG-koulu) in the 1980s, when everything was done by hand. I use a computer and drawing software, but I like a handmade look. I get excited when I can depict everyday life’s imperfections with a gentle sense of humor. I like long-term collaborations, such as illustrating a character's adventures for a series of textbooks or a monthly magazine.

I am particularly good at depicting people in motion. Since I also work in sports (I am a qualified gymnastics coach and ski instructor), I can illustrate exercise instructions for both children and adults.
