I'm Ruija Kariniemi (He/Him), an independent artist and aesthetics connoseur working under DreamPool Design. I provide illustration, animation, and design services to individuals and creative businesses.
I've predominantly worked in the animation industry, delivering projects like music videos, TV animation, and full-feature films. In the productions, I have performed a variety of animation pipeline tasks, such as background art, scene set-up, coloring, and 2D animation.
In illustration, I specialize in retro aesthetics, fashion, and comic styles. I've illustrated patterns for fabrics and printed products. In addition to media arts, I do jewelry and apparel design.

I can handle 2D animation as a whole; I can independently create an animated short from start to finish or perform a specific role in a larger production.
I'm proficient in a large variety of graphic software, such as Toon Boom Harmony, Storyboard Pro, Clip Studio Paint and Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.
