Anna Sailamaa
Hi! My name is Anna Sailamaa. I am based in Helsinki, Finland. I have two Master’s degrees, first one from Art Education from Aalto University and the second one from The Academy of Fine Arts in Uniarts Helsinki. My main interests are graphic novels and picture books. I like to work with digital media and experiment with traditional techniques. My personal projects involve visual narration and characters.
In addition to illustration, I work as a teacher in comprehensive, upper secondary and vocational schools, universities and in the field of liberal adult education. I have strong pedagogical skills, good teamwork skills, a wide range of multidisciplinary skills and I am quick to adopt new approaches and technologies.
