Eeva Nikunen
Hi! My name is Eeva Nikunen and I am an illustrator and artist located in Vantaa, Finland. I specialise in decorative art and book covers.
I started my creative career with a degree in graphic design. I worked as an artist at a game studio and designed websites for rock bands. After studying display design at the University of the Arts London, I worked in visual merchandising. I've been a full-time illustrator since 2014.
My favourite mediums to work with are oil paints, gouache and graphite pencils, although I do often work with digital mediums as well.
I create my art in my home art studio in a little suburban town, where I live with my black rescue cat Edgar.

I specialise in human and animal characters. Creating highly detailed and decorative illustrations is my strong point.
