Eeva Nikunen
Hi! My name is Eeva Nikunen and I am an illustrator located in Vantaa. I specialise in decorative art, book illustration and book covers.
My favourite mediums to work with are oil paints, gouache and graphite pencils, although I do sometimes work with digital mediums as well.
I started my creative career in graphic design. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, I spent a few years working at a game studio while also freelancing as a web designer creating websites for rock bands. And after studying display design at the University of Arts in London, I worked in visual merchandising. I’ve been working as a full time illustrator since 2014.
I create my art in my home art studio in a little suburban town, where I live with my black rescue cat Edgar.

I specialise in human and animal characters. Creating highly detailed and decorative illustrations is my strong point.
