Hi! I'm Jii Roikonen, an illustrator from Oulu. I started drawing when I was still in school, and it became a profession after studying at the Lahti Design Institute in the 90s. I can handle illustrations made on a short schedule as well as long and complex wholes – for a wide variety of uses.

I am inspired by making information interesting, engaging and more approachable through visual means. With my work, I want to bring good cheer, humanity and community to the world. I work by combining traditional drawing lines with digital color, using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as my tools.

Listening to the client and achieving the desired end result through smooth communication is of paramount importance to me. My pricing is clear and scheduling is smooth with my long work experience.
I invoice the work through my company.
My working languages are Finnish and English.

I am asked to create cheerfulness, mischief and speed. In recent years I have illustrated many children's books. My style is characterized by the expressiveness and playfulness of the characters combined with clear situational images, regardless of the subject matter. My special expertise is visualizing the desired message through illustrations, even in a short time frame.
