Hello! I am Kristiina Mäkimattila, illustrator and children's book author from Seinäjoki, Ostrobothnia.
I love funny little details, colours, nature and diving into fairytales. And little creatures! Playfulness is a very important element for me and it shows in my work.
I have mostly worked in Finnish, but feel free to get in touch in English too! And if you are ready for a commission adventure in Swedish, lycka till - I'll try to answer as best as I can!
I specialize in illustrations for children and people who work with them. In my illustrations I try to show all kinds of people in a kind and respectful way. As a Bachelor of Social Services I also look at illustration from an educational point of view.
I draw and paint with traditional equipment, but I also do digital drawings and paintings.
