Linda “Superflinda” Söderholm
Hi! I'm Linda Söderholm, aka Superflinda, a Finnish illustrator, graphic designer, and muralist. I'm passionate about strong colors, typography, and illustrations that combine playfulness, nostalgia, and boldness. My work combines the authenticity of craftsmanship with graphic precision, whether it be murals, illustrations, or hand lettering.
I approach new assignments with an open mind and enthusiasm: I listen carefully to the client and look for the best way to tell the story visually. I enjoy working on projects that strengthen community spirit and bring art into everyday life.
I work fluently in Finnish, Swedish, English, and Slovenian, and if necessary, in many other languages too (Russian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian). I am open to projects worldwide and my calendar always has time for new collaborative projects, so don't hesitate to get in touch!
I am very experienced in combining typography and illustration. I am skilled in both manual and digital assignments. My hand-painted works have attracted international interest, and I have extensive expertise in creating large-scale murals for various environments.
SZJZG Handpainted Sign / BLAG Better Letters Magazine
SZJZG (Samo za jebeni znak gre) = IOAFS in Slovenian language. Handpainted sign, 42 × 29,7 cm, 2025.
I had lots of fun interpreting the sign painters motto for this piece into my almost native Slovene for the Better Letters BLAG Sign Painting Magazine Summer 2025 issue 07.
My sources of inspiration were a 1920 newspaper masthead from the former Yugoslavia, and lettering on a circa 1943 firefighter’s diploma from Ljubljana. To these I added a colour palette that’s loosely based on sports kits worn by Slovenian teams over the years.

Protest Pigeon / Purkutaide 2025
Who’s this? Well, obviously the mad Protest Pigeon who’s had enough. A retro style character I designed as a part of my “Say It Loud” installation in the Purkutaide Exhibition in Helsinki in 2025.
You can see it action in handouts at the exhibition and you can buy stickers (3 eur) and sticker sheet (10 eur) with the character.

Event Visuals / Ljubljana Vinyl Convention 2025
Ljubljana Vinyl Convention is an international gathering of music collectors, curators, archivists, DJs, and vinyl lovers from across ex-Yu countries and South Central & Eastern Europe. The convention not only celebrates the culture of vinyl but also promotes knowledge exchange and connections between artists and music lovers. It’s all about keeping the legacy of vinyl alive, while introducing it to new generations.
I was asked for a retro-inspired design, and I had so much fun bringing that vibe to life! I combined modular lettering with a nostalgic color palette to evoke the timeless magic of vinyl records. I created all the event visuals (psoters and social media) as well as some merch and limited edition LVC 2025 risography art prints, which you can still buy for 15 eur to show your support for the culture.

Live Painting / Jytäkesä Go-Go 2024
Illustration created for the Jytäkesä Go-Go festival in Helsinki in 2024, which was painted live with other artists from the Mimmit peinttaa collective. I painted this in a single day using spray paint on a recycled advertising banner (2 × 3.5 m). The work radiates an energetic and playful visual expression that celebrates the fast-paced and colorful atmosphere of the festival and brings positive vibes to the festival goers.

YO! Mural / Martinlaakso High School, Vantaa
I created the YO! mural for the Finnish language classroom at Martinlaakso High School in Vantaa. The work plays on the double meaning of the word “yo” in Finnish – it can either mean a trendy greeting that has found its way into youth slang from rap music, or refer to the matriculation examination or exams, which are of course the final milestone for all high school students.
The work, painted with latex paints on a 7 × 3.3-meter brick wall, was completed using a combination of rollers and brushes. The bold, dynamic design and color palette reflect the energy and aspirations of the students and bridge the gap between street art and the academic world.
I created the work as a commission for Martinlaakso High School in collaboration with Street Art Vantaa.
Six A2-size, very limited edition giclée art prints of the mural are available. Price: €120 + VAT.
