Miki Kuu
Hi! My name is Miki Kuu, and I am a Finnish-Karelian illustrator and product designer from Helsinki. Online, I am better known by the nickname "Kuu Arts." I love creating colorful illustrations, as well as all kinds of cute animals. Colorful and imaginative commissions are the most inspiring to me. I also love folklore and the rich Karelian culture. I work in both digital and traditional mediums.
My previous clients have given me good feedback on my work ethic and great communication throughout the commission process. I like to include my clients by showing pictures of different parts of the progress. This also allows me to respond quickly if any changes are needed. I have had many returning clients.
All the products in my webstore are designed and created by me. My website also offers great instructions on how to commission me and a detailed commission form to fill out when requesting illustrations from me. I am always available for a new commission, so feel free to reach out!
My digital works are very playful and full of color, while my traditional paintings are more earth-toned and realistic. The traditional medium fits perfectly for book illustrations.
I can also assist you with your merch design, event graphics, posters, and streamer graphic needs, from PFP to overlays.
Vekara-Varkaus Children's Festival :
I created their entire branding anew for their 2025 events . I also redesigned their mascot, "The Leafy Man ." These illustrations will be updated on their site in spring 2025.
Karelian Youth League:
I painted a great variety of illustrations to meet their needs, especially those used as promotional photos for their audiovisual stories on YouTube .
Paperimuru Webstore :
I painted four pieces for Paperimuru to create their own unique thank-you cards to send out with orders.
Over 20 different YouTubers and streamers from across the world have commissioned me for PFPs , stream graphics, and channel visual imagery such as Fleurs. From Finland, I must mention Namikolix, who also ordered merch designs with channel graphics, and Kao Kitsune, who commissioned channel graphics for visuals and videos as well.
Lastly, I have created illustrations for many private customers, from portraits to home goods.

Little people | Painting for a 2025 Christmas card
This painting was intended to play with size differences. In reality, the girls are not small, but the environment around them has grown instead. This was my own project for my web store and was printed in 2025 on a Christmas card.
