Hey,

I'm Tuuli – a surface pattern designer, illustrator-designer, and founder of Haapio Creative Studio – in other words, a creative multi-hyphenate :)

I’m drawn to the unexpected and bold contrasts. My work is guided by a love of adventure and a global outlook, and I believe curiosity and the joy of learning are essential to good design. At its best, design is a collaborative journey where everyone has the chance to share and discover something new.

Over 10 years abroad have shaped me into a design professional with experience across diverse fields, techniques, and multicultural teams. I’ve worked in fashion, home textiles, interior, and product design, taking on roles as a pattern designer, illustrator, concept designer, graphic designer, and project lead for design teams. My dream is to continue working with multidisciplinary teams and on (experimental) projects where illustration adds its own special flavor to the mix.

My core expertise lies in surface pattern design and product illustration in all its diverse forms—across products, packaging, and both soft and hard (interior) surface materials. Beyond creating concepts, production-ready files, and colorways, I also coordinate entire collections and design illustrations for product lines, campaigns, and digital use. I even dabble in small animations.
