Elina Pisko

Hi! I'm Elina Pisko, a freelance illustrator and artist living in Helsinki. My work in children's literature illustration was initially inspired by my university studies in literature. This academic knowledge base is now combined with experience of working with international partners, which has given me a strong understanding of current trends, themes and techniques.

In addition to children's literature, my illustration work can be applied to many different projects such as textbooks, magazine illustrations, textiles and murals.

My working languages are Finnish and English.

When it comes to children's book illustrations, I enjoy drawing diverse, playful characters in special and everyday moments of family life. I am particularly drawn to happy and humorous stories, but I am also interested in current topics that affect people and the environment. My primary technique is digital illustration with an analog feel.
