Veera Krouglov
Hello!
I am Veera Krouglov, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Helsinki, Finland. I enjoy working on a variety of illustration projects, and I’ve been previously commissioned to do character design and pattern design, for example. I can also create animated illustrations.
My illustrations typically feature hand-drawn linework, strong composition and simple yet vibrant colour palettes. There is often a sense of humour in my work – as long as it is appropriate for the topic. I am especially inspired by all kinds of characters from humans to creatures as well as nature and urban themes. However, I enjoy working on all kinds of topics!
I am particularly good at creating characters full of personality and have worked as a character designer for an animated film in the past. I am happy to provide more references on this!

Crybaby / Pictoplasma
Pictoplasma (pictoplasma.com) is an international community focused on characters and character design. They organise seminars and workshops annually related to the topic. From time to time they also run contests on their website, for which anyone can submit their work to.
In 2019 I took part in one of their contests titled #CharacterReactionGIF. The brief was to create a character reacting to something. My crying character was one of the three winners of the competition.
