March in Athens?

Kuvittajat ry opens a call for professional illustrator’s residence period in March 2024 in Athens. The residence is located in the Gyzi district. One-month residencies are preferred, but two-week periods are also possible. The apartment (43m2) is located in a six-storey building maintained by the Finnish Institute in Athens. Furnished apartments for researchers and students are available in the building. The artist studio apartment has a study/living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony terrace. Common areas include a roof terrace, laundry room, seminar room and lounge.

The residency is free for members of Kuvittajat ry. For non-members there is a residence fee of 300 €. Travel and other expenses are the responsibility of the applicant. The applicant may host one guest for an additional fee of 50 € per week.

The residency is funded by remunerations collected by Kopiosto.
