Alessandra Bernard
Moi! My name is Alessandra (she/her) and I'm a Finnish-Italian illustrator from Helsinki who likes to draw illustrations with whimsical creatures and humans co-existing together in an odd but rather ordinary world. My style is colourful and sweet but not too prim. In my illustrations, the world accepts all kinds of creatures; your neighbor might be a witch and you might share your morning coffee with the friendly ghost that lives in the attic. I graduated from Tampere University of Applied Sciences as Bachelor of Culture and Arts in 2020.
I’m currently open to new projects!
I mainly work with digital media, but sometimes I paint traditionally with oils and acrylics. Special projects I’ve held close to my heart were the first two books I illustrated for Ina Mikkola; Runkkarin käsikirja, 2020 and Valtakirjani, 2021.
