Amanda Vähämäki
Hello! I am Amanda Vähämäki (she/her), comic artist and illustrator. Drawing is my passion and my joy. I am particularly known for my use of pencil and graphite and a fresh narrative take in comics, blurring and twisting the line between everyday life and fantasy. My illustrator self is flexible and cooperative, with unique art style. My long time dream is to illustrate children's literature. I am actively seeking for new work opportunities right now.
Delicate and smudgy graphite is my go-to instrument, but I am not afraid of digital platforms or scrunchy small print methods. I am particularly skilled in creating different atmospheres, building worlds and drawing people and animals. Telling stories and the fluidity of narration is one of my strengths. My work is always humane with a pinch of humor.
