Anssi Vaalio

Hi! I'm Anssi Vaalio, illustrator, cartoonist and graphic designer. For the past twenty years I have created illustrations for a variety of purposes; from marketing and communication illustrations to editorial illustrations. In recent years, mostly for children's and young adult's books.

My illustrations are cheerful and often a little quirky in their humor. There are a lot of cheeky characters in them, and character design is often the starting point for my illustrations.

I try to be one of the good guys, so projects that bring a positive vibrancy to the world are especially inspiring.

Character design and illustration, illustrations for children's and YA books, comics and graphic design. In addition to the illustrations, I can produce the graphic design of the entire publication. Cheerful illustrations are my specialty!
