Filippa Hella
Hello! I'm Filippa Hella (she/her), an illustrator, cartoonist and writer from Porvoo.
Various illustrations and comics sprout out from my desk. Pencil and brush convey my feelings through my hand. I usually express myself delicately, but occasionally it's fun to play with colours and strong lines. I like to find new challenges and explore unknown worlds. My native language is Swedish, but I am also fluent in Finnish. I also speak English.
For each project I like to find a particular expression and technique that brings the illustration to life. I like to use ink, watercolour, gouache, acrylic and mixed media. I run cartoon and visual art workshops for children and young adults. I also work as a colour bath instructor for babies. Encountering enthusiastic young artists gives me a lot of joy and inspiration.
