Hanna Laurikko
Hi I'm Hanna, an illustrator, graphic designer and visual storyteller, from the west coast of Finland. I make illustrations in various styles, depending on the subject and the assignment. My own work is inspired by everyday subjects such as the environment, nature, people, landscapes and different cultures, from which I create light-hearted, visual stories. I approach each project by researching the background of the subject, discussing the goals and listening carefully the client's thoughts. My working languages are Finnish, Swedish and English. I have a shop on my website for my own production. You are more than welcome to stop by.
In addition to visual storytelling and editorial illustrations, I do layout design, including editorial layouts. I use a variety of illustration techniques, depending on the subject matter and what works for the project. I like the hand-drawn touch visible in my illustrations, even I draw digitally. For pattern design, I sometimes use my skills as a professional dressmaker.
