Mari Johanna Oksanen

Hello everyone! I'm Mari Johanna Oksanen, an illustrator and image creator with a background in graphic design, working as a private trader. I am inspired by nature, stories, sensory experiences and reflecting on life's various phenomena. I enjoy playful surrealism, symbolism and exploring form and color. I am imaginative and have a good visual eye and communication skills (in Finnish and English). I also have experience in working as an AD, as part of a team and designing different projects.

I specialize in traditional techniques, especially watercolor painting. I also combine handmade drawings and surfaces with digital work in my illustrations. My illustration style ranges from near-realistic to graphic forms.

"Garden berries" franking labels / Åland Post

2023 Åland Post published a series of four franking labels, a first day cover and a postmark. The theme of the series is garden berries.
