Maria Makkonen

Hi! I am Maria Makkonen, a freelance illustrator from Tampere, Finland. I create comics and illustrations for various purposes. Currently I am working on children’s and YA books’ illustrations. When I have time, I draw my own comic projects. My work has been described as dynamic, fun, wild and expressive.

In addition to illustration, I have created print graphics, graphic services and materials for companies, associations, projects and private clients. I work on a general and customized commission basis, as well as on a licensing basis.
