Comic Book
Kivet, kannot, tähdet, kuuta (Arktinen banaani, 2021) is a collection of queer-positive comics inspired by folklore. The six comics explore folklore phenomena from kekri to bear worship, elves to wise men. Siblings are caught in a forest cover-up, a disgruntled sauna elf causes trouble in an apartment building, and an old maid meets her friend who has risen from the dead. Queerness is treated as a character trait and an inner resource, because queer stories can be something other than just tragic.
