Hello! I'm Noora Ketolainen (she/her), an illustrator, graphic designer and comic maker who loves colors. My joyful style is full of colors, interesting details and magical worlds - I like to bring some magic even to everyday illustrations!
I'm happy to make illustrations and graphic design for magazines, websites, digital publishing, visuals, books and events.
With my work I want to make important issues visible and convey a message through clear visualization. Sustainability and ecological lifestyle, multiculturalism and respect for different people are important values for me.

I can create cheerful illustrations in all kinds of forms. In my illustrations, I always take into account the diversity of people. I can also create beautiful handwritten calligraphy.

The purpose of the illustrations was to encourage people to vote in municipal elections, and the materials were done in seven different languages.

I created a label for a special kind of honey, which is produced in Joroinen, the Savonia region of Finland. The label was asked to be different from others – colorful and retro style. The name comes from the town of Joroinen, which was called to be the Paris of Savonia because in the area there were villas where people spoke French.

”Kokonainen minä” on osallistava, kahden kulttuurin nuorten kanssa luotu, kuvitettu lastenkirja, joka kertoo kahden kulttuurin lasten arjesta seikkailunomaisesti.
Kirja nostattaa kahden kulttuurin lasten kokemuksia ja arkea näkyviin ja antaa lapsille mahdollisuuden itse tuoda esiin kieliään ja kulttuurejaan kirjanlukuhetken yhteydessä sekä päiväkodeissa että kotona perheen kanssa.
Kirjan on kirjoittanut lasten kirjailija Wende Luvinga. Kuvitus on kuvittajien Noora Ketolainen ja Maryam Abuzaid-Ryu yhteistyö. Kirjan konsepti ja tarina on kehitetty yhdessä kahden kulttuurin nuorten ja taiteellisen tiimin kanssa käyttäen lapsikeskeisiä, osallistavia käytäntöjä.
