Pentti Otsamo

Hi! I am Pentti Otsamo, an illustrator, comic artist and graphic designer originally from Oulu, now settled in Northern Savonia. I have a Master's degree in Fine Art and more than 30 years of experience in the field. I make illustrations and comics for print and online media – or wherever the client wants.

My illustrations often have a touch of humor and a cartoonish style. I like to draw strong outlines and clear areas of color. I work almost exclusively digitally.

My illustrations and comics have been published in in the following magazines: Ahjo, Blue Wings, City-lehti, Contactor, Edita News, Helsingin Sanomat, Helsingin Sanomien Kuukausiliite, Helsingin Sanomat Nyt supplement, Image, Kauppapolitiikka, Kotiliesi, Koululainen, Lento, Men's Health, Nuori Lääkäri, Peili, Rytmi, Seura, Suomen Kuvalehti, Talouselämä, Taloustaito, Tekijä, Uusi Suomi, Valitut Palat, Vihreä Lanka. My illustrations can also be found on the reception desks and patient room walls of the Kuopio University Hospital as well as in a video presentation in Kuopio Museum's Human's Time exhibition. In addition, I have made several comic books.
