Salla-Maaria Syvänen

Well hello, here I am, Salla-Maaria Syvänen, an illustrator and a diverse creator of many sorts. I enjoy starting my design by scratch working with my two favourite brushes. That handpainting combined with the paper that I use are often featured in my work.
I like quick-witted and insightful illustrations that need some time to open up entirely. I'm fun and flexible to work with and understand clients needs and aims, as I sometimes work around designing creative projects too. From my background I am a fashion and textile designer, and on top of that a fashion and clothing engineer, so designing patterns with me is not only fun, but also cost-effective.

I work as a freelance, so answering to emails and work assesments quickly is what I do everyday. My latest works can be found best from my instagram, @syvanen_studio

Animating my illustrations is one of my favourite works, so all my illustrations can always be animated.

From my background I am a fashion and textile designer, and on top of that a fashion and clothing engineer, so designing patterns with me is not only fun, but also cost-effective.

I've created print design for several companies in Finland and abroad, such as Finlayson, Nosh Company, Voglia, Junkyard, Garb Casa, Oh Suzy! and Vimmacompany.
My illustrations have been published in for example Psychology-magazine and Vuokranantajat.
