Elina Savolainen
Hi, I'm Elina Savolainen, a pattern designer, illustrator and pattern workshop teacher from Helsinki. I am inspired by plants, animals, colours and especially free line, which can be used to tell stories and create different atmospheres. When printed on fabric, stories get a soft feel, shape and use! Listening to the client is what unites everything I work. I like wish fulfillment and teamwork. I work in Finnish as well as English. Feel free to contact me!
I have designed hundreds of patterns for production. I am able to create a wide variety of styles according to the needs and wishes of the customer. I am good at working in a team and staying on schedule. I can take into account the requirements of industrial printing techniques. I also guide people to make their own designs in Piirrä omat kuosisi -workshops.

"I have had the pleasure to have Elina in my team, working as a children’s clothing designer for Stockmann. Elina is an unbelievably talented graphic designer. The world of stories she can capture in her prints is both beautiful and innovative for children and their parents.
Elina delivers well thought-out designs, and always meets customers’ expectations. Her way of analyzing trends and handling color and assortment management has made the collections interesting, commercial, and new for all seasons. She communicates ideas in an innovative way while embracing customers’ needs and production in the supply chain. Elina’s creativity has been recognized in our team and her prints have been used also in our collections for women and men.
Elina has been a great asset to our team both professionally and as a wonderful person to work with. I am happy to recommend Elina."
