Hello, I am Anu Saari, an illustrator, designer and visual artist. My inspiration comes from a strong need to understand life and its phenomena more and more every day and to visualize them through drawing. Drawing makes me understand more and I hope to convey that feeling to the viewer as well. My work often has a conceptual dimension, but I am also used to drawing and painting beautiful surfaces. My working languages are Finnish, English, Swedish, Spanish (the slang of El Salvador) and hopefully one day Japanese. I'm studying it. In Japan I am represented by Edition Paumes.

Among recent works I could mention the participatory illustration art project UNELMIA | DAYDREAMS, which has been exhibited four times since 2018 in Finland and Japan. The illustrations are based on daydreams. They are digitally drawn and printed using risography and serigraphy techniques.

I am always interested in new collaborations!

I am experienced in pattern design, pattern production and concept design. I have also illustrated and designed packages, posters, identities, and websites, to name a few. My strength is seeing the big picture in a project and focusing on what is important. I am also deeply involved in the business of Moiko, a Finnish accessories brand as co-founder and creative director.
